Supporting Charity & Social Enterprise

We are keen to ensure that community benefits are realised outwith just the projects we are working on and are proud to have been working in partnership with local Edinburgh Charity - Grassmarket Community Project since 2015 as they provide support to almost 500 members – some of the Capital’s most vulnerable citizens.

We have organised two Charity Fundraising Days, raising circa £40k which has been reinvested into 6 social enterprises managed by GCP, as well as funding the development of a counselling room and service for members. We also support the use of the charity['s venue as a meeting space, and the wood workshop social enterprise has benefited from trees felled from site eg at the Royal Edinburgh Campus.

As an office, we also regularly support Macmillan coffee mornings and cash for kids and operation christmas appeals.

The wider Hub programme is also benefiting charities across Scotland through the Hub Community Foundation (HCF)

The HCF is a charity that raises money for those in need through the financing of community-based projects built by the Scotland-wide Hub programme, thus maximising local community gain. Managed by Inspiring Scotland, in 2018 £1.3m was allocated through the Building Brighter Futures Fund to 10 charities across Scotland. In the Hub South East territory, two charities are benefiting from this funding – Grassmarket Community Project and Move On.
