We’re proud to have awarded 82% of work packages on completed projects to Scottish SMEs since our inception in 2010 and we encourage participation in projects by SMEs of all disciplines. As new projects progress, our team will host local events that will aim to inform potential SMEs about:

  • the work package contents and programme for the new facility
  • the procurement policy and how it can help you gain business
  • practical advice on how your skills and knowledge could gain you work
  • tips and information on how you could work for package contractors
  • how you can keep informed about future opportunities as the project progresses.

As well as supporting local companies, these events are also helpful for individuals, as there are often benefits available out with work packages, such as work experience or local employment.



Morrison Construction, our contractor on site for the Inclusive Edinburgh Centre, is holding a Meet the Buyer event specifically for 3rd sector organisations, Social Enterprises and Supported Businesses getting involved in the project. This will be on Tuesday 12th January 2021 2-3.30pm on Microsoft Teams. More info is available in this flyer.

I live in Galashiels and saw a Meet the Buyer event for the Galashiels Transport Interchange advertised locally. I went along to find out more and I’m so glad I did as it’s changed my life. Years later and I have been supported through University and now work full time as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor for Morrison Construction.
