Our Board of Directors


Jo Elliot


Jo Elliot was appointed to the board in October 2010 as independent chairman. He holds a number of non-executive board appointments including Dundee University, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and J W Galloway . He was previously with the independent merchant bankers Quayle Munro which he joined in 1983. He became a director in 1988 and was Chief Executive from 2002 until 2007, and built up the business particularly in project finance, at the interface between the public and private sectors. 


Paul McGirk

(Chief Executive)

Paul McGirk was appointed to the board in August 2010 and is Chief Executive of Hub South East Scotland Ltd. Paul is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 30 years’ experience of major construction projects in the UK and overseas, working on projects in Cameroon, the Middle East and India before returning to the UK in 1989 to help build London’s Canary Wharf. In 1998, Paul joined the NHS at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh before becoming Director of Strategic Planning and Estates for Fife Acute Hospitals Trust. Since then, he has specialised in the development and funding of public-private partnerships involving multi-agency collaboration. He has been responsible for developing a wide range of community infrastructure schemes, from major hospitals through to schools, libraries and community partnership centres.


John Hope


John Hope was appointed to the Board in October 2012. He is Director, National Hub Programme for Scottish Futures Trust (SFT). Since joining SFT in 2010 and prior to taking responsibility for the Hub programme, John has helped to deliver the first phase of the National Housing Trust initiative, commenced the development of the surplus asset disposal programme with the NHS and managed the Schools for the Future investment programme. John is a Chartered Accountant and has over 20 years' board level experience across both public and private sectors. This has been gained in the property, construction, PFI/PPP and automotive sectors together with the NHS.


Kevin Bradley

 Kevin Bradley is the founder and Managing Partner of The Glenmhor Partnership, a boutique advisory business which is focussed on providing high quality project management, cost management and technical advisory services to clients in the commercial and public sectors. Prior to establishing the Glenmhor Partnership, Kevin was a Partner in Davis Langdon and following its takeover by Aecom was Head of Scotland for its Programme Cost and Consultancy Business. Kevin has over 25 years’ experience in the construction and property industry in the UK and International markets.



Garry Sheret

Garry is the Board Director representing the public sector. He is Head of Property and Facilities Management at Midlothian Council.


Brian Love

 Brian is Project Finance Director in Galliford Try Investments.
