Allermuir Health Centre

Delivered as part of the £26m Lothian Bundle – a trio of health and partnership centres – Allermuir Health Centre included NHS Lothian as the lead partner, with the City of Edinburgh Council jointly involved in the development and in its integrated use. The new Centre brings increased health and social care services for the local community, including new GP accommodation, podiatry and child health services. The Centre also sees new clinical facilities for podiatry, community nursing and child health, as well as increased capacity for existing medical practices.

This new building allows a number of health/community services and third sector organisations to work side by side, meaning we can provide a truly integrated offering for the local community. As staff we were involved in the concept and design from day one and the building really reflects this and is working well in practice.
