Community Engagement

Engagement is a recurring theme throughout the community planning agenda and hub South East Scotland will consult and involve appropriate people (taking into account the views of the Participants as to who is appropriate) at each stage of hub’s development.

hub South East Scotland aims to support appropriate and meaningful community engagement approaches and practices in its work with the Territory Participants, local communities and other key stakeholders. hub South East Scotland will consider representations made by the Territory Participants regarding the involvement of local communities and groups.

hub South East Scotland will work to implement the guidance in “The National Standards for Community Engagement”, and will consider the community throughout delivery of any Partnering Services. To assist in the development of systematic approach to community engagement on hub projects Hub South East Scotland is piloting the use of the Visioning Outcomes in Community Engagement (VOICE) e-tool. In addition, a Territory Engagement Forum has been established involving representatives from third sector stakeholder organisations.
